KENWOOD Smartphone Control

"KENWOOD Smartphone Control" is a function in which the video image of an Android device can be displayed on the KENWOOD Multimedia Receiver and can be controlled from an Multimedia Receiver's bear on console.  All applications on the Android device can be operated from the Multimedia Receiver.

However, smartphone control from the Multimedia Receiver is limited to a single finger operation similar Tap/ Double Tap/ Long Tap/ Swipe.
Performance that requires two or more than fingers such as Compression-in/ Compression-out/ Multi-tap are unavailable.

Functioning

Single Finger Operation (Tap / Elevate):

Only the single finger performance such as "Tap" or "Drag" is possible from the affect screen panel of the Multimedia Receiver.

• Does non back up multi-touch operation.

Setup Procedure

1. Wired Connectedness:

   Please refer to the "Connectivity Chart" and the Instruction Transmission of the Multimedia Receiver for teaching regarding connectivity between the Android device and the Multimedia Receiver.

2. Firmware Update:

   Please make sure that the Multimedia Receiver had been updated to the latest firmware version in order to utilise the "KENWOOD Smartphone Control" feature.

3. Application Setup:
   1. 1) Visit Google Play, and install the "KENWOOD Smartphone Control" Awarding.
   2. 2) Launch "KENWOOD Smartphone Control" Awarding.
   3. 3) Turn on "KENWOOD Smartphone Control": Android Device's [Settings] --> [Accessibility] --> [Services]
4. Bluetooth Pairing:
   1. 1) Ability on the Multimedia Receiver.
   2. 2) Search the Multimedia Receiver ("DDX****" / "DNX****" / "DNN****" / "DNR****") from your Android device.
   3. 3) Confirm the request to make Bluetooth pairing on the Android device and the Multimedia Receiver.

5. Multimedia Receiver Setup
   1. 1) Press [Home] (DNN/DNR) / [MENU] (DNX/DDX), then press [Apps]. (Or printing [Dwelling] (DNN/DNR) / [Card] (DNX/DDX), then press [All] --> [Apps].)
   2. ii) Follow the Setup Wizard that volition appear automatically when you press [Apps] for the commencement time.
      • - Enter [APP Connection Setup] screen, then printing [Change]
      • - Select [Android/ Other], then press [Next]

6. Using the KENWOOD Smartphone Control office:
   1. 1) Make sure that the vehicle is parked, and the parking brake is On.
   2. two) Launch "KENWOOD Smartphone Control" application on your Android device.
   3. 3) Connect the Android device to the Multimedia Receiver via MHL or HDMI.
   4. 4) Printing [Habitation] (DNN/DNR) / [MENU] (DNX/DDX) --> [Apps] on the Multimedia receiver.
   5. 5) Press [Take] and [Agree] if you concord to the contents of the caution bulletin on the Multimedia Receiver.
